Philanthropy
Executive Committee members of the Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects have pledged to donate 20 service hours each this year to support the “1 Percent Program.”

The March of Dimes awarded grants to Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida, Healthy Start Coalition of Southwest Florida, and Collier County Health Department to benefit area mothers and children.

Humane Society Naples has introduced the Cider House Society All-Star Pooch Program to increase placement rates of long-time residents that may be special-needs canines.

The Republic of Macedonia, which opened an honorary consulate in Naples February 8, has formed a partnership with Collier County Habitat for Humanity.

Sue Archer of Palm Beach Gardens was awarded Best in Show for her watercolor at the Naples National Art Festival sponsored by Planning Development Inc., Anchor Health Centers, Naples Daily News, Clear Channel, Comcast, City of Naples and Collier County Tourist Development Council.

Avow Hospice awarded Bentley Care Village and the Alzheimer’s Support Network its Community Partner Awards.

The Ritz-Carlton Resorts of Naples received the 2008 Mobil Four-Star Award for the fifth straight year.

Naples Tomato has received the Collier County Wrap Award for its recycling programs.

The Naples Children & Education Foundation raised $14 million and awarded $17.3 million to children’s charities through the Naples Winter Wine Festival.

Relocation: The International Golf Studio has moved to Old Corkscrew Golf Club, located on Corkscrew Road, Estero.

Ada’s Natural & Organic Foods Supermarket has announced it will open at the Collection at Vanderbilt later this year.
