Bonita Beach Road has always been a dine-out corridor, but the orientation has been changing from casual roadside eateries to small boutique restaurants with a flair for creativity. A Table Apart bills its cuisine as “global.” The reasonably priced menu lives up to the tagline with influences from various cultures, but heavy on the Italian and Asian—sometimes together.

Every neighborhood should have its own cozy Italian restaurant where residents can escape for the span of a meal to a genuine and genuinely friendly corner of the Old World. The Neapolitan Way neighborhood has Amore Ristorante. It fits the bill with a warm harvest-gold setting, low lights, soothing Italian music and hands-on service from the owners.
